Independence day was set aside for work but I was kidnapped and ended up sailing instead.
Owen, Patty, Ray and I plus three crazy dogs had a beautiful sail.
This was Rays first time on a sailboat and she was a natural.
The wind clocked for the entire sail so we had the wind above the beam the whole way up the bay, across and back.
The wind eventually picked up to about 12 knots and it was as good of sailing as you can hope for.
I made a nice little ice chest out of the bilge, in winter it is my fridge, its too warm now but a little ice lasted all day and night.
I have this strange condition where I get dizzy and nauseous, It only seems to happen when I’m worn out which has been all week from being kept up by my crazy cone head dog. I was hoping to finish several projects this week but since most of them seem to involve breathing heavy fumes while being inverted I have held off till I feel better. Tuning my rig is also at the top of my list but not a good project to do with crossed eyes. I did pick up two 5 gallon water jugs and am figuring the best way to strap them down in my engine compartment since it is kind of wasted space. I was surprised how heavy they were to lift. I guess a whole year of being locked in my office or boat has taken its toll. I just added one more project to the list, make time for Alan
