My Yuloh mount is getting pretty frustrating, after about two hours with every set up imaginable I called it a day and crawled into the relative cool of the cabin. For two glorious days we had temperatures above 80 degrees before returning to our typical cold windy Bellingham summer.
For fun I looked up the Farmers Almanac 2013 winter weather forecast. El Nino looks like she is coming to visit for the next three years, that means cold, stormy, windy, wet weather, YAY. The good part about living in the PNW is that we are immune to global warming.
I’ve promised myself that I will get a real set of foulies this year, I can’t even begin to imagine what it will be like to actually be warm and dry. For now its back to the Yuloh, secretly I fantasize about a little two horse outboard but I haven’t given up yet.
A lot of people ask me if I were shipwrecked, and could only have one book, what would it be? I always say ‘How to Build a Boat Stephen Wright

Hey man, let me know when you want to sail. I can come this weekend or next. I’ve got plenty of scrap teak and a bunch of ipe too, which I think will work a little better for that mount.
As long as I can get off work at a decent hour, we can make the mount friday night and sail to pt saturday and sunday. I can put you to work while you’re here if you need some cash.
Sounds awesome but I wont be back from Oregon till around the 22nd, maybe I can swing by PT on my way back up. The boat is ready!
Are you driving?
That would simplify the land part of the transportation problem. The bus/ferry situation gets a little tricky from pt.
I have no idea how I’m getting there or back but that is half the fun of the trip.
Well, I hope you can make it back if you get there. I was able to get the 24th off work, so we’ll have time to run to the hardware store on friday if need be. Otherwise I wouldn’t get in till after 10 at best.
