It was 32 degrees last-night, winter is upon us but warm memories of my summer spent exploring the islands will get me through.
I have decided to build a winter cabin from 100% free and recycled products, I have a few land opportunities so now its all about deciding on the perfect location for my little home.

Its easy to envision what I want in a cabin. It will all be built around the perfect little kitchen, with a wood stove for heat and a water catchment with gravity feed. Its going to be a busy winter but I feel the need to build and create, My camera usually fills my creative needs but as I am once again camera-less It will be me in my dirty overalls and Xtratufs building a work of art out of nature, and other peoples trash. I spent last night switching between my boat journal and my new cabin journal, drawing by the soft light of a single lamp, with Getz/Gilberto on my ipod. Life is good!
And this, our life, exempt from public haunt, finds tongues in trees, books in the running brooks, sermons in stones, and good in everything.
